WAUWATOSA, WI — Disaster Kleenup International Inc. (DKI) member company Kelmann Corporation recently helped provide food and other items to patrons of Milwaukee''s Guest House on Christmas, according to a press release.
The largest publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee, the Guest House provides housing, education, substance abuse treatment and pre-employment preparation for men, the release noted.
Continuing a company tradition, employees of Kelmann Corporation supplied and served Christmas morning breakfast at the Guest House, providing food and other items needed to produce a complete and healthy meal for nearly 100 homeless men, the release stated.
According to the release, this year was made extra special when a terminally ill friend of Kelmann Corporation, Mrs. Mary Boyer, knit 200 winter caps for the men at the shelter.
"The true spirit of Christmas was never more evident than this year," said Kelmann Corporations'' Owner Jerry Kelly.
"The fact that our team members offer their time and talents to help those less fortunate on Christmas Day reveals much about their heart and decency," Kelly added.
