I know with each person I meet, that person was placed in my life, at that time, for a reason. Yes – I am that annoying person on the airplane who likes to talk to whom I am sitting by. I have never been one to follow the rule “don’t talk to strangers.” I know some then-strangers who are now great friends simply because I started a conversation with them. I have had some great things happen to me just by being connected with others. You never know when one connection might lead to another connection and when one person may change your life.I started my own blog, Dine & Dish, in November 2006 with the goal to connect with others and to encourage more people to not be intimidated by their time in the kitchen. As a mom of three young kids, with one more on the way, I understand how hectic life can get. I also have learned first hand the importance of bringing your family together each evening for a meal around the family table. Engage with each other and I can promise this one thing will help to keep you all close together throughout the years.I firmly believe that connecting with family and friends is easier if food is involved. If you were moving in next door, I would drop off some cookies or bread to welcome you into the neighborhood. Since we are only meeting virtually, I have decided to make a welcome treat that you can hopefully feel the warmness of through your computer monitor.Great banana bread recipes are hard to find, but I think I have a successful attempt with this favorite recipe of mine. Full of sweet banana flavor, this moist and delicious loaf is sure to make a good impression on anyone you present it to.So, for now my friends, I welcome you. I hope you enjoy your time here.
