Nancy Bock, Senior Vice President, Meetings and Education at the American Cleaning Institute (ACI), has been elected to the Board of Directors of Cleaning For A Reason. Bock will also serve as Secretary for the Board of Directors.

American Cleaning Institute Vice President Nancy Bock has been elected as secretary for the Cleaning For a Reason board of directors.

Cleaning For A Reason provides free residential cleaning services to women undergoing treatment for cancer. To date, more 11,000 cancer patients have been served.

“Nancy Bock is one of those people that can spot and seize a great opportunity and then follow through with a plan of action,” said Debbie Sardone, President and Founder, Cleaning For A Reason. “Her passion for helping others and her smart business savvy make her a perfect fit for our organization. As our 2012 Secretary, she brings a wealth of knowledge and nonprofit experience that has already proven to benefit Cleaning For A Reason.”

In her current role at ACI, Bock leads the trade association’s consumer education and outreach programs and builds partnerships with organizations committed to improving lives. She has dedicated more than 30 years of her life to developing programs and partnerships that help individuals, families and communities achieve better living.

She learned the true value of a clean environment when she cared for her mother for the last weeks of her life-after battling cancer for more than five years.

“I am honored to serve on the Board of Cleaning For A Reason because cleaning really does matter. A clean home environment is important. It is even more important to women with cancer,” said Bock.

At ACI’s Annual Convention, Bock has organized three golf tournaments and the first-ever Quack for a Reason duck race to benefit Cleaning For A Reason.

Prior to joining ACI in 2001, she held positions at the Department of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. A graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education, Bock also holds a master’s degree in education from WVU.
